Worm Screw All Nikken rotary tables feature an ion-nitrided worm screw. The worm wheel is manufactured from special 'V' grade carbide which offers high anti-wearing characteristics extreme toughness. The material used for the worm wheel is a special Nikken order-made steel which is hardened and ion-nitride treated, thus eliminating sliding friction.
In comparison with other worm systems (phosphor/aluminium bronze worm wheel and steel screw) the Nikken system largely reduces wear and the therefore the table has a longer life therefore saving costs.
Nikken Alpha 21 Controller All Nikken Rotary Tables are available with the Nikken Alpha 21 Control option. This unit allows Nikken Rotary Tables to be 'retro-fitted' to standard 3-axis machining centres eliminating the requirement to specify independent 4th or 5th axis machine tool drives. Operating via M-Code and/or MACRO-B function - the controller allows productivity increases on a wider variety of machine tools (even in special cases manual machines). The MACRO-B function allows the Nikken Alpha 21 to be programmed directly from the machine tool controller itself using direct angle commands. The Rotary Table itself is very compact as the Alpha 21 controller is utilised in conjunction with the latest compact digital servo motor offering increased torque and longer life. | |
