Height Pre-setter
Nikken's height pre-setters provide fast, high accuracy measuring solutions – and have been designed for 'right first time' machining. Eliminating the need for test and trial cuts – and, as a consequence, a potential loss in production – Nikken's height pre-setters are used to measure workpiece reference points and tooling off-set values quickly and efficiently. Nikken's height pre-setters can be used on lathes and machining centres.
Universal Micro Touch
Nikken's Universal Micro Touch (UMT) provides customers with 3D electronic edge detection capability. UMT products have a precision touch sensor delivering repeatable accuracy of +/- 2 microns. UMT products are straightforward to use. They are equipped with a red lamp and electronic beep - both which are activated once the required touch position has been achieved. As well as measuring the fixed reference point – the UMT measures workpiece height and specific characteristics and forms of a component (internal diameters, grooves, slots etc).
