Universal Micro Touch

Nikken's Universal Micro Touch (UMT) provides customers with 3D electronic edge detection capability.

UMT products have a precision touch sensor delivering repeatable accuracy of +/- 2 microns. UMT products are straightforward to use. They are equipped with a red lamp and electronic beep - both which are activated once the required touch position has been achieved.

As well as measuring the fixed reference point – the UMT measures workpiece height and specific characteristics and forms of a component (internal diameters, grooves, slots etc).
